FedEx SmartPost Has Rebranded to FedEx Ground® Economy

FedEx has rebranded its FedEx SmartPost service to FedEx Ground Economy. This change will only impact the service level name. Your service functionality and shipping rates will not be impacted. If you have any additional questions about this change, please contact your Customer Success Manager or reach out to Support.
What is FedEx SmartPost/FedEx Ground Economy?
FedEx Ground Economy (formerly FedEx SmartPost) is FedEx’s best U.S. domestic shipping option for shippers with low-weight, non-urgent shipments. FedEx Ground Economy rates are cost-effective and are ideal for outbound residential deliveries and returns, especially for small to medium-sized businesses.
FedEx Ground Economy includes:
- 2-7 business day shipping
- U.S. domestic with full residential coverage
- Monday-Sunday* delivery
- Shipment of packages up to 70 lbs and 130” in length (Ideal 1-10 lbs)
- 24-hour shipment visibility with FedEx Tracking
*Not all shipments qualify for Sunday delivery.
How to ship with FedEx Ground Economy and save big
Shipping with FedEx Ground Economy is simple with EasyPost! All EasyPost users can access FedEx Ground Economy instantly for free from their dashboard. Users also get access to specially discounted rates, allowing them to save even more in shipping costs!
To get started, all you need to do is:
- Sign up for a free EasyPost account.
- Navigate to the Carrier tab in the dashboard and click the “Create Account” button next to FedEx Default.
- Start shipping right away! Your FedEx Platform Account and credentials will be automatically created and linked.
